*5. Sir William Golding, born September 19th 1911. He was a British novelist, playwright and Nobel prize winner for literature laureate, he was best known for his novel: Lord of The Flies. He was awarded Books Prize for literature in 1980 for his novel: Rites of Passage, the first book of the trilogy: To the ends of the earth. In 2008 The Times ranked Sir William Golding third on their list of 'The 50 greatest British writers since 1945'

*4. Suzanne Collins, born August
10th 1962 is an American television writer and novelist, best known for writing The Hunger Games series( which comprises of: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay) due to the cinematic release of The Hunger Games the series became immensely popular. Suzanne Collins was named one of Time Magazine's most influential people of 2010. Amazon announced that Suzanne Collins had become the best-selling kindle author of all time.

*3. Rick Riordan, born June 5th 1964 is an an American author best known for writing: Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. He is also focusing on two more series: The Kane Chronicles, which focuses on Egyptian mythology; and the Heroes of Olympus, which is the sequel to the Percy Jackson series, which focuses on Greek and Roman mythology interwoven. He won various awards such as: The 2011 children's choice book award: Author of the year, 2011 Children's choice book award: Fifth grade to Sixth grade book of the year for The Red Pyramid(Kane Chronicles Series)

*1. Micheal Grant, born July 26th 1954 is an American author of young adult fiction. Author of the Gone series which comprises of five books: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague and Fear; there will be one more to conclude the series: Light, which is said to be released some time in 2013.

These are my top five authors currently, their always changing depending on if I discover another fantastic author. I urge you guys to read each book released by all these authors, they are truly worthwhile!
